What Is Mayor’s Court?
Mayor’s Court isn’t what most expect. It’s not a full courtroom with a judge in robes, but it is just as serious.
They deal with traffic tickets, misdemeanor arrests and code violations that happen inside Mandeville limits. There’s no jury. A magistrate hears your case. The process is quicker and less formal.
If you’ve been sent there, it’s for:
-
Speeding or running a stop sign
-
No insurance or expired tags
-
Simple assault
-
Disorderly conduct
-
Noise complaints or code issues
This is how I help:
-
Explain what your ticket or charge means
-
Help you figure out what to do: fight it, resolve it, or negotiate
-
Prep you for what to say and not say
-
Deal with late payments or missed court.
Don't Just Pay The Ticket
You Have Options
You might be able to pay it online or by mail, but that’s not always the best option. If it's going to effect your insurance, license or record, It's worth looking at your options.
I look at your situation and advise you to pay, fight or work out a deal.
